How Mission Memories works

No. Guests can join and play straight from their phone's web browser, with no app needed. The free Mission Memories app for iPhone and Android is optional: it adds the smoothest camera, reactions, comments and notifications.

Open the invite link your host shared, scan their QR code with your phone camera, or go to missionmemories.app/join and enter the 6-digit code. Create a quick free account (or continue with Google) so you can come back to your photos later, and you're in.

Some hosts add a password to keep their event private. Ask your host for it. If it says the password is wrong, check it with them, as it's case sensitive.

The event has reached the number of guests on the host's plan. We let the host know straight away, and they can upgrade the event for more guests. Try joining again once they have.

Open the event, tap a mission and take a photo or video for it, or choose one from your camera roll. It uploads to the event gallery and you earn the mission's points straight away.

The event hasn't started yet. Missions unlock at the start time the host set, and you'll see a countdown until then. If there's no start time, the host will start it soon.

Every mission has points. Complete it and the points are added to your score on the live leaderboard. Some events also have puzzles (a crossword, word search or quiz) worth extra points, and hosts can send surprise bonus missions during the event.

Yes. Every guest can see the event gallery with everyone's photos and videos, and browse it by mission or by person. In the app you can also react to and comment on photos.

After the event, every guest gets an Event Wrapped: a short recap of their night with their photos, missions and where they finished on the leaderboard.

Go to missionmemories.app/start, pick what you're celebrating and tell us about it. We'll write photo missions for you, or you can write your own. Save it with a free account and you'll get your join code straight away. You can also create events in the iPhone or Android app.

Share your 6-digit join code, your invite link (missionmemories.app/join/ followed by your code) or your QR code. Drop the link in the group chat or print the QR code on table cards. Guests play in their browser, so they don't need to download anything.

Yes. You can add, edit or remove missions at any time from the app or from your event on the website, even while the event is running. Paid plans can also send bonus missions to chosen guests mid-event.

Set the date and time when you create your event, or change it later in the event's settings in the app. Missions stay locked with a countdown until the start time.

Yes. Only people with your code, link or QR code can join, and you can add an event password in the app's event settings for extra privacy. You can also remove any guest or photo.

Yes. In the app, open your event's guest list and add a co-host by the email address of their Mission Memories account. Co-hosts can manage missions, guests and photos. How many hosts you can add depends on your plan.

Sign in at missionmemories.app, open your event and choose Download all. You'll get every photo and video from the event in one zip file. You can also save individual photos in the app.

Photos are kept for 3 months after the event on the free and Party Time plans, and 6 months on Event of the Season and Host with the Most. Download everything you want to keep before then.

Yes. As the host you can remove any photo or video from your event's gallery in the app. Guests can also report a photo for you to review.

Every event starts free for up to 5 guests and 5 missions. Bigger events are one payment for that event: Party Time is £4.99 for 40 guests, Event of the Season £19.99 for 120 and Host with the Most £49.99 for 300. There's no subscription and no per-guest fee.

On the website, open your event, go to Settings and choose Upgrade this event. You can pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. You can also upgrade in the iPhone or Android app. The new limits apply straight away and your missions, guests and photos stay as they are.

Our biggest plan covers 300 guests. For larger events, get in touch with roughly how many people are coming and we'll set up a plan for you.

Plans bought in the app are refunded by Apple or Google under their policies. For plans bought on our website, your plan starts straight away when you pay, but if something goes wrong, contact us and we'll put it right.

Yes. Sign in with the same email and password (or Google) on the website and in the app, and you'll see the same events.

On the sign-in page, enter your email and choose Forgot password. We'll email you a link to reset it.

In the app, go to Profile and choose Delete Account. This removes your account and your personal data.
